{Obsession}

I have an obsession. I'm not afraid to admit it. Some may call this strange or even weird. I call it a totally healthy and a totally bitchen thing to be obsessed about. I am just head over heals about 5 things in my life. Can you guess them? I think you won't be surprised at all once you see the list:

1 .Family
2. My Job
3. Skulls
4. Brass Knuckles
5. Shoes

Ya'll know that the bottom 3 are more like obsessions rather than just something that I like. I LOVE those 3! They make me giddy! I just can't get enough! I can spend hours looking for the perfect one of them which can be tricky cause I LOVE all of them!

I don't remember how long I have had a thing for Skulls. I want anything and everything that has a skull on it. Out here in Vegas, everything has skulls. My eye caught this dope belt buckle and I ran into the store with full intentions on buying it. When I looked at the price tag, a tear almost fell from my eye. Shopping in Vegas feels like I am in Mulan! To me things are so pricey! Still I get my hands on whatever Skulls I can. Today I am dreaming about buying some "Bone Chillers."

When I found my Brass Knuckle Earrings I was over joyed! They are just the perfect little accessory that I wear every day.Then when I was able to get my hands on the necklace, I almost fainted with over excitement!

Shoes! Ahh Shoes! I have so many shoes! I love boots and heels the most. My latest are a beautiful pair of Gianni Bini "Desiree" Pumps.

I discovered these beauties as I was leaving my interview with MAC. They are the perfect knockoff to my "Dream Shoe". Every once in a while there comes a shoe that will stand out from the masses, a shoe that first becomes a trend and later will be considered iconic. The YSL Trib Two Pump has great potential to become a shoe legend. The highly coveted 5″ inch stiletto pumps are virtually sold out EVERYWHERE and their hefty price tag prevents them from being a realistic shoe dream for me. Even if I had millions of dollars, I don't think I could spend $795 on a pair of shoes. Ok. I just said that so you would think I'm humble. You know I would get 'em!

So there you have it! I have decided to dedicate a blog a week to my obsessions. Stay tuned as I fall more in love with Skulls, Brass Knuckles, and Shoes!

{The Moment}

I haven't been feeling like my normal self the past little bit and in an interesting turn of events I have been sleeping like a grizzly (not grizzle or gristle--I'm awsum at spelling) in hibernation, (which is so not me, being as one who does not "need" sleep) followed by tender breasts and I haven't received my monthly package from mother nature in who knows how long. I know. Why do you need all the details? Well YOU JUST DO! So I told Burk it was time to take a test. He did not look happy. Off he went to the gym with Bug and I headed to the bathroom. While I was doing what you do for these tests, there were so many things racing through my mind. "This isn't happening! I'm not ready! We are not ready! However.....we do make beautiful babies! Brooklynn really wants a sister. Is that enough for me to endure 45 hours of labor again? I can't look! I can't look!" I looked. This is what I saw:

So it turns out I am not pregnant! Whoo hoo! Really though, I about fell off the toilet when I saw that little line. (I'm not good with reading instructions even if they are right there in front of me.) When taking a test of this sort there is that moment when you don't know if your life is going to change forever. Quite frankly that scares me. We are in the clear! After delivering this news to Burk and Bug we did nothing. So much of nothing that this is what happened to the two of them:

Sometimes all that nothing can really wear you out! We put Buggers down and continued doing nothing! Its was glorious!

{Burk's spare time}

Burk loves to get his hair did by his favorite stylist Brooklynn. Too bad he doesn't have much to work with, but no worries. Bug can do wonders for him!

Didn't she do such a fantastic job? I think she's got a knack for making him so pretty. Burk is a pretty little girl! (He also really needs to get some new clothes. He's had that shirt since high school. Please feel free to donate money for this cause.)

{A visit from the Rents}

Burk's parents came down for his spring break. They really came to steal Bug and head to San Diego to be with Jess. It was fine with us! We went out on a date and Burk didn't know what to do and where to sit. The hostess looked confused as Burk was all flustered. I asked if she could tell we haven't been on a date in years? She laughed and Burk gave me a dirty look.

We headed to meet the fam after a meeting I had for work. It was a long drive. I have said many times that I am not doing anymore road trips with Burk again! I yelled that at him and then he asked how I was planning on getting home? Dang it! He is so sneaky! We FINALLY arrived in Oceanside, but couldn't find the condo. As we were driving around Burk pointed out all the Marines running to the beach. I then proceeded to yell out the window "I love me some Seamen!" Burk was utterly embarassed. I have no clue why? Hey! I support our troops! We made it to the condo and got to see our baby who was not at all interested that we were there. She even asked me when I was leaving. I know...she is so sweet to her "Mooma." We headed to the beach for some R&R.

I forgot how much I love it at the beach. It is a good thing I am saving $25 from every paycheck for my beach house. We got to color Easter Eggs too thanks to Jess boilin them for us! FYI... Burk looks fantastic in this pic!

Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun little get away! Next time, can we go to Hawaii?

{Promise}

I swear as of now, that I, Sara Jean Bradshaw will begin to blog on a day to day basis. Ok probably not day to day, but once a week is a more reasonable commitment for me. We all know how well I am with commitments. I will start this new trend of mine tonight after work.
